Once again, our community showed generosity and creativity during the festive period.
Christmas Carols around the village
There was a great turnout on Wednesday 13 December for our annual carol singing event. The Scouts were on hand to collect grocery donations for the Trussell Trust Foodbank (you generous lot – see photo) and cash donations totalling £227.20 have been passed to Fareshare.
Thanks to all our wonderful singers, Tintwistle Brass Band, The Scouts and Ann Grue, for her fabulous mince pies.
Christmas wreath competition
Wow, what a beautiful bunch of entries. Top row/second from left, was chosen as our overall winner and bottom row/second from left, received a special prize for ‘best alternative eco design.’
